The ancient prophets made it quite clear. "Ye are gods", they said. Yet, for some reason, people refuse to be gods. Yeshûa, later known as Jesus, had the same problem: "Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" He asked in obvious disbelief. He also said that "Heaven is within you", and He assured us that his Father, presumably God, is and remains in Heaven. Hence, Heaven is a State of Consciousness.
So... what exactly is our problem?
I suggest it is a question of responsibility.
All right... refusal to accept responsibility and... pride.
We like to blame people; to blame others.
We, guided by our ego, like to blame people. It seems much easier that admitting that we, and not someone else, did something wrong. And, surely, gods don't make mistakes. So... something doesn't wash. Yet there is a reason for that. The god within us to which the prophets and Yeshûa referred was not our ego. Most of us think of ourselves as the personalities, or egos, generated by the artificial intelligence of our biological computer we know as our brain. Our ego is NOT god. Our ego is what differentiates us from each other, whereas God is ONE. Hence, the divinity to which the prophets and Yeshûa referred was, and for ever will be, our Higher Self. Our true I AM, which is an individualization of the Omnipresent Indestructible, Eternal, Energy of Creative Consciousness. The awareness of the Higher Self will gradually lead us to identifying with it and thus gaining immortality.
We already know from Albert Einstein that energy is indestructible. Yet, the Energy of Creative Consciousness, vibrating at an infinite frequency, has the power to metamorphose its original frequency of vibration into infinite slower frequencies, some of which are discernible to our primitive senses, or even to our electronic gadgets.
The KEY TO IMMORTALITY teaches us how we can learn to identify with our Higher Self and thus become aware of being immortal. There is no other secret to it, but the journey is not easy. We must retain our ego in order to contribute to the diversity of the Phenomenal Universe, yet, at the same time, we must learn to treat our ego as a disposable element of our divine nature which we use to enhance the Phenomenal Universe.
