There may be many ways to skin a cat, only… I love cats. I love cats and they are just as immortal as we are. Well, most of us. And most of the cats. Actually, only their consciousness survives. Both, the inherent one and the one they evolved over millions of years. No, not their bodies although; although if they were nice cats, once they leave this valley of tears, they can recreate much better ones, at will.
I think we can, too.
A little like in our dreams.
Cats and dogs, and just about any animal must be immortal, or there would be no evolution. Again, I don’t mean their physical bodies although they are also evolving, of course, or as physical as an illusion can make them. Since even we, humans, have apparently began our journey in the hot oceanic vents, the same, or something similar, must have happened for the rest of our fauna.
And there is more diversity in flora and fauna than anyone can imagine. The scientists estimate the number to be around 8.7 million, and I'd suggest the number vastly exceeds their estimates.
Vastly!
The microbes and bacteria in a human body alone exceeds 39 trillion, and I doubt they are all identical. Yes, Einstein was right. We are all energy. And, I don't argue with most other scientists.

This blog is not intended to destroy the Christian or the Islamic concept of Heaven and Hell. They are both necessary to instill obedience to those who run those religions, but have little to do with any reality. Even St. Paul (2nd Corinthians) mentioned meeting someone in the 3rd Heaven, suggesting there might be any number of them.
And this brings us to Devachan.
All people create realities of Devachan and will enjoy the consequences. The concept is explained in Theosophy. Devachan, like all realities in which we spend our becoming, are states of consciousness growing forever, maintaining eternal quest towards perfection. And we shall continue do so until we awaken to the truth. No, not my version of the truth, but the truth perceived by people much, much, more advanced on their way to the true reality than I am.
And finally, to cheer you up, Devachan simply means; "dwelling of the gods." And, if you remember, the Hebrew prophets assured us that we are gods. And this simply means, being able to metamorphose the frequencies of vibrations of energy.
