Speaking to friends, it appears that the concept of Ego and Self is still misunderstood by quite a few of us. With the Age of Aquarius already influencing our lives, the matter is of pressing importance. During the next 2000 years, we are intended to allow our Egos to become aware of the magnificent talents, attributes and the attendant powers inherent in the Higher Self, which was, is, and always will be our true I AM. Our true essence of being, as against the Ego of becoming.
I use the capital E in Ego, as ultimately the Ego and Self are intended to become One.

There appears to be a fundamental misunderstanding regarding the nature or the attributes of I AM versus what we appear to think what we are. The I AM as applied in the Old Testament represents the permanent, unchangeable entity which is an Individualization of the Omnipresent Energy of Consciousness. It is the cause behind all the effects.
We also know it as the Higher Self.
However, the Higher Self cannot go against Universal Laws, hence it's creative ability is limited. Ego can, and it's trials and error though seemingly negative might be tolerated in terms of the eventual "big picture." For example, repeated global wars that would be intrinsically negative, might serve to reduce the burgeoning populations that might have lead to mass starvation. (Although, of late, wars seem to multiply pregnancies!)
In this context the consciousness which is generated by our brain is no more than an artificial intelligence, created for the propagation of diversity within the Phenomenal Universe, or the Phenomenal Reality. The Reality which we recognize as real. This new evolving intelligence is in constant movement, acquiring new knowledge, new abilities, under the guidance and, yes, supervision, of the Higher Self.
Please note, not "our" Higher Self, only "the" Higher Self, which is as omnipresent as the Energy from which It individualized Itself to create us. But let us never forget, that we can create Hell with equal facility as creating Heaven. Freewill has its consequences. It is called Karma.
As for the virus, well, you decide what is its purpose. Whatever you decide it might turn our to be true. For you. Just for you... We all create our realities. What we share becomes objective. The rest remains our own as we see it. Whatever it might be.
And, please, never forget what the ancient prophets knew...
Higher Self can metamorphose frequencies of vibrations of any and every energy. We, as yet... can't. However, the potential is dormant within us. Perhaps it is time to wake up. After all, potentially...
