LEST WE FORGET

Forgive me if some of you may have heard this before, but many a truth has been spoken and repeated thousands of times during the last 2000 years, only to be completely ignored.
This is true of both, science and religion.
Thus, sorry Mr. Darwin, but we, the human species, do NOT evolve on a straight upward incline. We, at least some of us, do evolve, but in very, very long cycles. We are given great opportunities to learn at the top of a cycle, and then, over some 2000 years, we descend to the nadir of our mental and emotional faculties. We sink into lower states of consciousness generated by our brains. The present state of the world, of the human species, is ample proof of this thesis. And, sorry to say, things will get worse before they get better.
    But better they will get.
    In time.
At least, for some of us. After all, we all know that "many are called but only a few are chosen". (This defines our evolution). Or, to be more precise, only a few choose to be chosen. As for the vast majority who don't bother to listen to the "call", well, as our scientists tell us: "all is energy" and their energies will be recycled in Black Holes.
Don't worry. New species will be born to replace them. Diversity is a Universal Law.

Two thousand years ago (some) people knew a great deal more than we appear to know today. Since, there had been a few exceptions. Now and then a man or a women appeared who attempted to show us the way. Yet we, again, the vast majority of us, prefer to remember the abysmal failures of our species. We remember wars, holocausts, mass murders...
     Lest we forget?
Lest we forget how low we can sink?
Shouldn't we forget how low we can sink instead? Shouldn't we remember the heroes, the deeds of unprecedented courage that happen among the few throughout history, instead? Remember them so that we might try to emulate them?
Memories are thoughts and thoughts are energies. Energies that activate other thoughts. Together they form our reality. No matter how illusory, how transient, it is what we call real.

Today we drop thousands of bombs on the heads of thousands of women and children from high above. We, the murderers, don't even see the faces of our truly innocent victims. It is obvious that we never heard of the Law of Karma.
We don't even see the whites of their eyes...
Is this the meaning of progress? Of evolution? The purpose of our science, technology, power? Or just unprecedented depravity.

This is how low we have devolved. We call our murderers heroes. We pin medals to their chests swollen with pride. We build them monuments.
There is but one hope. Hope that the megacycles of the Zodiac will repair our misconceptions. That the Age of Aquarius will awaken us to our true potential. Potential for love, not for killing. Lest we forget who we really are.

***
In the past they didn't have our technology. Rightly or wrongly, they could see the white of the eyes of the people they killed... if there ever is a right way to kill. To kill an illusion?
We evolved things, not ourselves. Illusions. We devolved ourselves. We forgot who we are. We forgot our potential.

Please, read my short exegeses of a few excerpts offered below. And then, let us try to emulated them. Let us remember their advice, not our depravity. And if you like what you read, please, share your thoughts with us. We need your reviews.

Below, an excerpt from Fred Schaefer's, Author, 5-Star review on Amazon.

"As far as the author’s spiritual reflections on life, on reality, death and the universe are concerned, “Psalm 23” is a concise summary of his convictions. He takes into account Einstein’s conclusions about the reality of the world, his own research and conclusions and—and this is what really fascinates me—he compares them with his understanding of the often misunderstood messages contained in the biblical Psalm 23. He interprets Psalm 23 in a way I have never come across before. To me, this was a deeply thought-provoking and satisfying experience.”

Thank you, Fred. You must have peeked into my mind. My heart?
There are more reviews of my thoughts. If you agree with any of them, please add your own. After all, in essence we are all one mind, one Consciousness, which temporarily individualizes Itself in all of us. Eventually, in the fullness of time, we shall be ONE again.
