THE WORLD OF ILLUSION

Albert Einstein's concept of reality remains misunderstood by many (or at least by many of my friends!). I'm referring to the idea that the phenomenal world is an illusion. In terms of pure science, he was obviously right.
Most scientists, however, continue to regard atoms as basic units of matter which define the structure of all elements. Others, without denying this thesis, define atoms as point particles:

A point particle is an idealization of particles heavily used in physics. Its defining feature is that it lacks spatial extension; being dimensionless, it does not take up space. ... For example, the atomic orbit of an electron in the hydrogen atom occupies a volume of ~10−30 m3.

Hence, it is fair to say, that human eye cannot detect something that is so small. Even if there are lots of them. A billion times nothing is still nothing. What we can detect, however, are a few energies. We can distinguish some electromagnetic radiation, such a light, that can manifest different energies emitted by different colours. Other energies, such as radio waves, infrared, ultraviolet, gamma waves, x-rays and such other are, as yet, beyond our ability to see.
I'd suggest that if there were no colours in the visible spectrum of our environment, we might remain blind. We would see nothing, or... just invisible atoms all around us. Hence... nothing.
    Just invisible points in space.
Thus, as Einstein once said, what we see is, in fact, an illusion. We see solidity where there is none, but our mind creates a reality which the colours suggest. And, what is even more fascinating, our other senses respond to the dictates of our mind and act accordingly. We respond to our vision in exactly  the same way as we do so in our dreams.
I'd suggest that if the stars didn't emit visible light, we would be convinced that we are the only planet in the universe, and if the same applied to our sun, we would live in total darkness. We would float in space. There are people who still think that we are the only intelligent life in the universe. Honestly, they think we are intelligent!
    Why?
I imagine because they cannot see other comparative species.

Yet, if it weren't for the ability of our senses to detect other energies such as sound, thermal (heat), smell, taste, we would remain in a vacuum. Light and sound, give our dreams a reality which would not be there without our ability to detect those two energies. Other species use smell to relate to their reality, and their range of perception of colour is vastly different from ours. The fact remains that we, the Homo sapiens, are capable of perceiving only certain energies attributes of certain energies and not others.
Hence, once again, Einstein was right.
What Albert Einstein failed to tell us is that we, you and I, are States of Consciousness.
Our "physical world" is an illusion. It is whatever we imagine it to be. No less than in our dreams. But, thanks to our imagination, a great deal more. More often than not we are truly creators of our realities, which, as again Einstein had said, are very persistent. Even as dreams often are. Happy people remain happy in most arduous circumstances. Complainers complain no matter what blessing surround them. We are mind, emotions and body. And body is only the result of the reality created by the first two. A Few of us can change it at will. As Evelyn Monahan did. (See "The Miracle of Metaphysical Healing" by Evelyn Monahan, Parker Publ. Co. Inc.).
Or, as the ancient prophets affirmed, we are gods; even if all we create, change or metamorphose is an... illusion.
