HUMAN POTENTIAL SERIES—INTRODUCTION to 23rd PSALM

Let us examine the psalmist’s view of reality. We must bear in mind that King David, born around 1000 BC, did not command modern terminology to describe his vision of reality. One thing is certain, however, he did NOT regard the world as most of us do even today.
Like Einstein, he didn’t recognize the physical, or the phenomenal world, as real. His sole concern was (the energy of) his consciousness, his awareness of reality.
He did not define it.
He left that to his immortal Self, which has chosen to abide in his illusory body.
Yes, in an illusory reality, our bodies are also illusory. They are or can be, controlled by a state of consciousness that appears to abide within us. Many years later, YESHûA has proven this beyond any doubt. His many instantaneous healings illustrated the flexibility of the energies which he had the power to metamorphose by changing the rates of its vibration.
This, characteristic is now accepted by science advocated by physicists.

In more recent times, Evelyn Monahan provided a good example. Her book “Miracle of Metaphysical Healing” helped many people to recover from ‘incurable’ diseases and disabilities. She had spoken from her own experience.
In early 1960 she was involved in a serious accident. She lost her eyesight turned epileptic, experiencing many seizures each day. To add insult to injury, four years later she was involved in another accident which left her right arm paralyzed.
The medical profession pronounced all her injuries incurable. At 22, she was sentenced to a life without sight, with incurable epilepsy and with a paralyzed arm.
So much for modern medicine.
To cut the story short, she achieved total and absolute healing of all her ‘incurable’ conditions. These facts are of public record.
Evelyn Monahan healed all her injuries using visualization (and ancillary techniques described in her book). I strongly suspect that her techniques were supported by indomitable faith that her ministrations would work. They did, of course. On all counts. She regained her vision, completely got rid of her seizures, and regained full use of her arm. So much for the medical profession.
And this brings us back to King David and his Psalm. Next blog will dissect each of his statements. It seems apparent that his philosophy provided that underpinning of Monahan’s techniques.
