MYSTERY OF DEVACHAN

There may be as many Devachans as infinity can contain.(1) After all, the ancient prophets already stated that we are gods and, according to theosophy, Davachan is the Dwelling of the Gods, and over infinity of time there will be an infinite number of us!
    Imagine...
Many billions of years ago, an impulse of the Omnipresent Creative Energy of Consciousness created a living organism and remained with it, looking after the behaviour of countless of atoms, subsequently billions of cell. After all, a grain of sand is made up of 50 quintilion of atoms(2), imagine how many it takes to create a cat or a dog. Mustn't someone or something look after their behavior pattern? That's how Self was born.
And then, after millions if not billions of years, the Self succeeded in evolving a brain which could do more than just looking after the organic structure of Its embodiment.

I wonder if it all began with the new creation evolving the ability to visualize the reality it desired. Do birds visualize the destiny to which they are flying for the winter season? Do carnivores visualize a method to capture their pray? Do squirrels visualize places where they hide their nuts for the season when fresh food is not available? Did primitive people visualized ways of life that improved their conditions?
I suspect that Einstein was right when he averred that:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution."
(Albert Einstein, "What Life Means to Einstein", 1924)

And let's face it. Isn't visualization an integral part, an indivisible part, a sine qua non element of imagination? We know so little, our knowledge is elementary, but imagination allows us to attempt to visualize different realities in which we might want to continue our becoming.

And this brings us to the mystery of Devachan. Do those realities already exist, or do we, you and I, and everybody on Earth and in the entire Phenomenal Universe, create them with our imagination? After all, didn't the "expert" on the subject of higher realities, Yeshûa Himself, assure us that Heaven is with us? And are the various states of consciousness, by whatever name, any less than creations of our imaginations?
The ancient prophets assured us that we are gods, and gods are creators. Gods can metamorphose various energies by altering their rates of vibration. That is how they create the realities in which they, hence we, enjoy our becoming.
But it seems to me that before we can achieve such a feat, we must imagine what it is that we wish to achieve.
    We must visualize it.
You, too, can do it. Read the book.

(1)  In Theosophy, Devachan is regarded as the place where most souls go after death where desires are gratified, corresponding to the Christian belief in Heaven. However, Devachan is a temporary, intermediate state of being before the soul's eventual rebirth into the physical world.

(2)  50 quintillion is 50,000,000,000,000,000,000.
