FEW PAGES THAT MIGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE

For most of us PSALM 23 is a sacred song, a hymn, or poetic verses recited in worship. I doubt the young shepherd who composed the psalm intended it that way. To him it may have been no more than an expression of his dreams, of his hopes magnified by his deep-set desire to discover the truth that he felt, he suspected, he hoped, thrived within him, on the edges of his perceptions.

Since then, it seems that, at times, most of us have experienced the same hunger. Only the shepherd who composed the song was not only a King to come, but a poet at heart. A simple poet leading a simple life, looking after his sheep.
Perhaps if our lives were to be simplified we, too, might experience a similar influx of thoughts, of verses, which would open for us, for our consciousness, the pearly gates to what we normally refer as Heaven. It might open our awareness to the wonders that are all around us; to the beauty and enchantment that the Omnipresent Creative Consciousness arranged for us to enjoy our becoming.
Because, no matter what we may think, Heaven, the ultimate state of Consciousness rests within us, waiting to be discovered. Be it in a million reincarnations, or within the next few seconds, it may become ours to enjoy.
Although the journey is long, often over many reincarnations, the awakening happens in a single instant. We suddenly become aware of who we really are. Henceforth, it is up to us to conduct our becoming in full consciousness of the consequences of our thoughts and actions.
And, should the awareness slip from our grasp, King David, the humble shepherd, will always be there to lead us back to Paradise lost.
I'm sure I can speak for all of us when I thank the psalmist for this immortal gift.

Excerpt from Fred Schaefer's, the Author, 5-Star review on Amazon.

"As far as the author’s spiritual reflections on life, on reality, death and the universe are concerned, “Psalm 23” is a concise summary of his convictions. He takes into account Einstein’s conclusions about the reality of the world, his own research and conclusions and—and this is what really fascinates me—he compares them with his understanding of the often misunderstood messages contained in the biblical Psalm 23. He interprets Psalm 23 in a way I have never come across before. To me, this was a deeply thought-provoking and satisfying experience.”

Thank you, Fred. You must have peeked into my mind. My heart?
There are more reviews of my thoughts. If you agree with any of them, please add your own. After all, in essence we are all one mind, one Consciousness, which temporarily individualizes Itself in all of us. Eventually, in the fullness of time, we shall be ONE again.
