There is a major problem with Science-Fiction genre. There is the vast majority which is directed at immature, or shall we say, youthful minds. Such books are replete with monsters, murder, fighting, conquest, and the resulting mayhem. Such primitive modes of entertainment appear to satisfy juvenile mentalities, allowing them to feel superior. Having, apparently, only just learned to read, they use the Science-Fiction genre to escape their dull, as yet ineffective, lives. Yet, they will learn.
It's only a question of time. I also grew up.
And then there is the same genre for the more mature minds. Here the writer attempts to entertain people by opening their curious eyes. In addition to entertainment, the writers of science-fiction endeavor to share with their readers dual concepts.
The first is to show the reader what might happen if we, individuals or humanity, continue on the present path.
The second is to show what could happen if we changed the direction of our travel. Such books might inspire the readers to partake in their new found possibilities. After all, we create our realities. We and we alone are responsible for enriching our Phenomenal Universe with added diversity and beauty.
All great Sci-Fi writers belong in the second category.

The art of writing good Sci-Fi is not to scare people witless, our governments and news media take care of that. Hence, most of us already live in fear. Nor is it only to entertain the reader, which I'd suggest is the primary objective, but also to broaden their outlook of our reality, our hidden abilities, our creative potential, and even our immortality.
At least, that's how I feel about it.
After all, according to Einstein, we are energy, and energy is indestructible. But so are our emotions, and we can choose to suffer or, ultimately, to create our own Gardens of Eden, our Paradises. Each Paradise is a state of consciousness. As is Heaven and is Hell. Our job, as writers, is to do our best to steer people in the right direction, without impairing in any way their fee will.
Why?
Because there are as many Heavens, as many Paradises as there are people in the world. I didn't wait to die, to be in Heaven. I'm already surrounded by incredible miracles of nature, by indescribable beauty, enhanced by the knowledge of my own immortality.
There are five stories in my book. Each one completely different from another. The Universal diversity demands this of me. I also hope that my stories will enhance your life.
Please, let me know if I succeeded.
