While we advanced in many ways in the illusory aspects of reality, the intelligence, kindness, perception, and outright perspicacity of
other species is, for me, a matter of constant amazement. Perhaps there is something to the story of Adam and Eve and the apple of the tree of
wisdom. Wisdom, to me, is a perfect amalgam of knowledge and love. In our case, in spite of the great teacher of the Age of Pisces, love appears to be missing.
Furthermore,
the translators of the Torah once more let us down. It wasn't the "tree
of wisdom" but the tree of "knowledge". What was missing was "love".
As
always, the Bible uses symbolism to make a point. Adam and Eve
represent our mental and emotional nature. Those qualities are obviously
present in both, but the ancients prefer to differentiate these traits.
The point the ancient tried to make was that the emotional aspect of
our nature is the initiator of making decisions, while the mental is the
executive. Hence, Even tempted, Adam carried out the temptation.
Of what?
Of making decision on his own, rather than subjecting himself to guidance of the Laws of Nature (the Tree of Life (1)).
Essentially,
the parable reminds us that while evolution equipped us with a brain
capable of generating thoughts that can enhance the Phenomenal
Universe, we are still inseparable part of nature, which is guided and
maintained by the Omnipresent Energy of Creative Consciousness.
This relates to all forms of life (including us), is the essence of all
evolution, and sustains the order, balance and beauty of our reality.
(1) In the Bible outside of Genesis, the term "tree of life" appears in Proverbs (3:18; 11:30; 13:12; 15:4) and Revelation (2:7; 22:2,14,19). It also appears in 2 Esdras (2:12; 8:52) and 4 Maccabees (18:16), which are included among the Jewish apocrypha.

The
trilogy illustrates how we might, one day, return to Earthly
Paradise. As always, it is up to us. We might have to go through a state of chaos. It is only a period of transition.
