THE FRUIT OF LIFE—OLYMPUS

The translators of the Torah once more let us down. The apple that Adam had ate was not from the "tree of wisdom" but the tree of 'knowledge'. What was missing was "love".  Wisdom, as mentioned in my previous blog, is a perfect amalgam of knowledge and love.
Furthermore, as always, the Bible used symbolism to make a point. Adam and Eve represent our mental and emotional nature. These qualities are obviously present in both, but the ancients prefer to differentiate these traits. We now know that they represent the left and right hemisphere of our brains present in men and women.
The point the ancients appeared to have tried to make was that the emotional aspect of our nature is the initiator of making decisions, while the mental is the executive. Hence, Eve tempted, Adam carried out the temptation. (Some might suggest that much has changed?) Also, Eve was thought to have a much greater access to the subconscious, which is said to be the storage of all memories. Hence, she could draw on the experience of the past, more so than Adam.
Please note that all the great works of art were, and are, invariably stimulated by emotions. (We want to do before we know how to do)
On the other hand, Adam, as the executor of the ideas implied by Eve, was further stimulated by the incipient pride of making decisions on his own, rather than subjecting himself to the Laws of Nature (the Tree of Life (1)).

Essentially, the parable reminds us that while evolution equipped us with a brain capable of generating thoughts (energies) that could enhance the Phenomenal Universe, we are still inseparable part of nature, which is guided and maintained by the Omnipresent Energy of Creative Consciousness. This applies to all life forms (including our bodies). It is the essence of all evolution and sustains the order, balance and beauty of our reality. Without It there would be chaos.

We appear to be rapidly entering this condition at present.

The "fruit" of the Tree of Life, would have been the awareness of the Higher Self, which is the individualization of the Omnipresent Creative Energy of Consciousness, vibrating at an infinite frequency (i.e. is in perfect stillness). As such, It is also within us, waiting to be recognized by our Egos, which is generated by our brain and endocrinal system. When the two sources of awareness unite (Ego and Higher Self), we shall be as gods. Only gods can consciously manipulate the frequencies of energy at will. This inherent ability has been recognized by ancient prophets, and lost thanks to our irrepressible pride.

Hence, book 3 of the Trilogy.

(1) In the Bible outside of Genesis, the term "tree of life" appears in Proverbs (3:18; 11:30; 13:12; 15:4) and Revelation (2:7; 22:2,14,19). It also appears in 2 Esdras (2:12; 8:52) and 4 Maccabees (18:16), which are included among the Jewish apocrypha.
