“In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth…” so declares the first verse of the infallible Bible of the Christians and Jews.
And there lies the problem.
If the Bible weren’t the infallible document in which every word matters, there would be no problem. And the Greeks didn’t think so. Nor did the Egyptians. Nor, much later, the Romans.
All great civilizations.
If you wonder why the answer is simple. They all believed in many gods. So why did they stray so far from the “word of God”?
Because Elohim is plural.
It is not a single, monotheistic God later adopted by the Jews, but many gods. Perhaps gods of Egypt, and ancient Greece, and Rome.
According to them, over eternity, the evolution of the phenomenal realities had been assigned to gods who, while much superior in every sense to Homo sapiens, still had specific tasks assigned to them. Evidently, the control of the phenomenal reality is quite impossible for a single entity, no matter how advanced. Only the Omnipresent, disembodied Consciousness is able to expand the Universe through growing diversity, while maintaining its Singularity.
Modern science seems to support the latter theory.
And since, according to science, our phenomenal reality has neither beginning nor end, there must have been intelligent beings millions of years more advanced than we are, wielding enormous Creative Force. By our primitive standards they must have seemed like gods; as we imagine Gods would be, if we were capable of comprehending such entities with our primitive minds.
Let’s face it.
We are still in kindergarten.
We too, at our childish level, are assigned tasks to both expand and unite the tiny fragment of the infinite phenomenal, ever-changing Universe. We are born to add to its diversity and unite it with love. Both energies, one centrifugal, the other centripetal.
And let us never forget that no matter how far and how fast the Universe expands, it always happens in the Eternal Now. And, thanks to the centripetal force, the most powerful force in the Universe that we know as Love, it always remains ONE.
Our journey to immortality starts now. If you want to walk through walls, make love on a sun-drenched Greek island, traverse time and space in split seconds, read this book NOW. The rest of the Trilogy will take you to Olympus.
